Enter your flock data, income and costs; net profit, profit per bird and the break-even point are calculated instantly.
Cost breakdown
How is flock profitability calculated?
The calculator finds the total live kilograms sold from the number of surviving birds and the average live weight. Income is calculated on these kilograms (or on the number of birds, depending on the contract), and costs are the sum of the items you enter. Net profit = total income − total costs. The result is shown for the whole flock as well as per bird, per kg and per m² of house floor.
Two growing models
Contract (integrator): Chicks, feed and veterinary medicine belong to the integrator. The grower covers the house, fuel, electricity, litter and labor, and is paid a fee per kg or per bird — often with a bonus or deduction tied to EPEF or FCR performance.
Independent: The grower buys chicks and feed and sells the flock live. Profitability depends directly on feed price, feed conversion (FCR) and live sale price.
Terms
Break-even — The lowest live sale price (independent) or grower fee (contract) needed to avoid a loss. Any price above it is profit.
Profit per bird — Net profit divided by the number of surviving (sold) birds. Used to compare flocks of different sizes.
FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio) — the amount of feed (kg) consumed per 1 kg of live weight gain. A lower value indicates better performance. Target for broilers: 1.50–1.65.
